The first time I saw these guys was at the metro in April of 96. Seriously, I remember it that vividly. There were a few reasons for that. But the biggie was these guys were the best opening act I had EVER seen. Seriously, they were opening for Dog's Eye View and they were just awesome. This was right when the Great Divide album came out. There is a previous EP that they had called Pleasure which is the best stuff they have done, apparently its been rereleased. Since the Great Divide, they caught lamestream success with Closing Time and a few other minor hits. Nothing as good as their really early stuff. They hail from Minneapolis and are big Prince fans. Their cover of Erotic City is just awesome. If you watch this video, their drummer really does play keyboards and drums at the same time. There are few songs they do where he's featured like this. It's pretty impressive.
