Finding music online

Obviously you are an astute music person if you follow the plethora of mp3 blogs available today. Almost seems like any Gastripod, Dick and Harry has one now. But where do you go to find all the new groundbreaking bands? It has to start somewhere. Of course opening bands are a great source if you have the time and money to see a live act on a regular basis. But the web offers so much at your finger tips.

I usually start with a newer band I like and goto http://www.music-map.com From there I will type in that band (i.e. White Rabbits). And wait for it... wait for it... Voila! There it is! A map of bands that share similar sound. So this tells me I might like Grand Archives... Then I go to Songza.com and search their name and listen away. I certainly do like them, sounds a little Fleet Foxy... Is this what Seattle sounds like now? It's been about 4yrs since I've been there. So here they are...
