Chicago scene

Those Darlins is primarily an all girl band who Pitchshifter and I saw open for Dan Auerbach earlier this year at the Metro. Something about them clicked with me. They are coming back to Chicago to play Schubas on July 17th. Unfortunately, I leave for Las Vegas that night. Drats! So I will miss them but I am sure Pitchshifter will have a good time without me.

This brings me to my topic. I have been looking for a show to check out in Las Vegas while I am out there. I saw a great show at Mandalay Bay Beach a few years back but they don't have anything going that week in July. And not really anything interesting all summer so far. The joint and the house of blues got nothing too. It amazes me that such cool place like Vegas doesn't have some killer music scene. I am just spoiled by Chicago. Maybe I am missing something, or maybe the economy is that bad... I mean Pearl Jam is releasing their new record at Target? What's next, the Cubs win the world series?
