Bands that just don't cut it live

There are many bands out there that sound better live than they do in studio. Matthew Sweet, The BoDeans and Cowboy Mouth to mention a few. But there are bands that are disappointments live. One of them for me is R.E.M. I was always a fan of them. But never saw them. then I got tickets to a see them on the UP tour about 15 rows back or so. And they really didn't do it for me. It was a big venue but I thought they could deliver. Not sure what the deal was, maybe they missed Bill Berry on the drums. Either way, they really sound good in the studio (one of my favorite CDs has a bunch of demos/outtakes of them in the studio) but not so much live. Here's one of my favorites by them live.
